90 West Lounge – Hobo Review

If you want to go to a bar where you risk either being in a fight, having your windshield bashed in, or most likely, witnessing a fight, check this place out.

Where beers are cheap, ambiance is fair and the crowd is rowdy, you’ll get a good fight. Aside from those, however, this little place is pretty nice. I’ve met the owner, Maria, a number of times (see above…having your windshield smashed in), and she gave me a short history of the place.

Prior to opening as the 90 West, it was known as something like the boat yard or the yacht club or something “boat-y”. The interior lends itself to that, with a clear feeling like you are in the belly of pirate ship.

Beers are $2 on tap, a few TVs scattered around, pool table and old style jukebox. Fat Tire, a hobo favorite, is one of those included. No hard liquor here, unless you’re looking for soju, a Korean rice wine that is much higher alcohol content than you’d imagine.

Look for a video (sometime in the distant future) of our exploits at the bar one night and the subsequent chase scene when we attempt to find the guy who did, in fact, bash in our windows.
