For 6 weeks in May-June of 2006, Vern and I lived between the Citibank and the Bank of America at the corner of Silverlake and Glendale Boulevards.
If we returned today, we’d find lines painted in the spot and a red curb. RVs no longer welcome.
Around the corner from there, on Riverside Drive, RVs have been known to post out and make home. Just last night we drove through and we saw five in a short stretch of road. There are no houses there, it goes under and beside the freeway, and some industrial buildings.
Well, RVs no longer welcome.

Residents can get permits to park in the area, which sucks for them. The RVs that were there will now just find their way into their neighborhoods and park in front of their homes.
Makes me angry. Sure, some of the RVs in the area do smell bad, some look disgusting, but there’s usually someone living in there trying to scrape by a life in a city in which he/she can’t afford. And slowly it’s taking over LA. Kick them out…bad idea.
Because eventually, they’ll start making regulations where I live now…and that’s no good for me.
Here’s a few articles about how I heard about this travesty…
